Commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution require traffic cuts and restrictions in the city center, in addition to parking bans

The celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, in Viseu, will require traffic cuts and restrictions in the city center. Due to the Duathlon 25 de Abril and the Os Quatro e Meia concert, several arteries and parks in the city will suffer restrictions over the next few days.
Since 7pm on Monday (22nd) the restrictions have been in force, starting with the ban on parking on Avenida do Regimento de Infantaria 14 (direction Repeses-Viseu) and on Avenida 25 de Abril (between the Paulo VI and Calouste roundabouts). Gulbenkian in both directions) until 3pm on Thursday (25th).
The same will also happen on Gaspar Barreiros and D. Duarte streets and Largo General Humberto Delgado between 7pm on Wednesday (24th) and 3pm on Thursday.
Due to the Os Quatro e Meia concert, which also takes place this Wednesday, the Pavilhão Mulitusos car parks are also closed.
The Duathlon 25 de Abril race will lead to the cutting or conditioning of many arteries in Viseu between 7am and 1pm on Freedom Day. Among these arteries are Avenida do Regimento de Infantaria 14, Avenida Tenente Coronel Vale de Andrade, Rua Alexandre Herculano, Rotunda Paulo VI, Avenida Engenheiro Nobre da Costa, Avenida Cidade de São Filipe, Travessa à Rua Dr. Álvaro Monteiro and Avenida 25 de Abril.
The athletes will also travel along Rua Bernardo Pais de Almeida, Rua Nuno Álvares Pereira, Rua José de Oliveira Berardo, Rua Dr. António Esteves Correia, Rua João de Deus, Avenida Infante D. Henrique, Rua Mendonça, the Avenida and Rotunda Calouste Gulbenkian and the Rossio roundabout.
They then continue along Rua Gaspar Barreiros, Largo General Humberto Delgado, Rua Dr. Alexandre Lobo, Rua da Vitória, Rua dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra, Rua do Comércio, Praça and Rua D. Duarte, Rua Augusta Cruz, Rua Direita, Rossio (Praça da República) and Rua Conselheiro Afonso de Melo (behind Rossio).
