A man suffered injuries to his buttock after being shot during the night by a PSP agent in Lumiar, in Lisbon. The incident occurred at 9:50 pm this Tuesday, in the Linhas das Torres area, Lumiar, in Lisbon.

According to an official PSP source, the agents were forced to fire shots because a vehicle did not obey the authority’s order to stop.

“The occupants of the vehicle (two men) allegedly attempted to escape on foot and during the escape one of the suspects pointed a gun and fired in the direction of the police. One of our police officers used a firearm (in circumstances to be investigated later at the appropriate headquarters). and hit the suspect”, he explains.

One of the men suffered minor injuries to his buttock and was taken to a hospital. The other suspect was intercepted.

The Judiciary Police were called to carry out an investigation.
