Crato Festival returns in August! Slow J and Ornatos Violeta take the stage at the emblematic Festival

One of the most emblematic summer festivals is returning to Alentejo.

The Crato Festival is preparing to celebrate its 38th edition (as a Crafts and Gastronomy Fair) and will take place from the 28th to the 31st of August.

SLOWJ It is VIOLET ORNAMENTS are the first artists to confirm their presence in the 2024 edition of the Festival and will perform, respectively, on the days 28 It is August, 31.

SLOWJ is one of the most innovative voices in Portuguese music. He launched his first project in 2015, but in 2023 he reached new heights, with the release of the album “Afro Fado” – an essay on Portuguese identity in all the splendor of its mix – which caused an unprecedented cultural and commercial impact in Portugal .

Already the VIOLET ORNAMENTS They are one of the most iconic bands in Portuguese music and are returning to the stage to mark the 25th anniversary of “O Monstro Necessita de Amigos”, their most emblematic album and the last original from the group led by Manuel Cruz.

Every year, the Crato Festival attracts thousands of people to the historic Alentejo village. In 2024, it will once again be a mandatory stop on the family and festival-goers’ itinerary, focusing on an eclectic lineup, aimed at all generations, with some of the best national and international artists, which makes it one of the biggest events held in Alentejo.

There will be four days of great entertainment in which the public will be able to enjoy the shows on the main stage, the well-known Crafts and Gastronomy Fair with free entry, an occasional camping area and the stage After-Hours with DJs, among many other scheduled activities.
