-

The EDP Foundation, within the scope of the EDP Energia Solidária Program, announces a strategic partnership with the Polytechnic of Portalegre, through the incubators of this higher education institution: BioBIP – Bionergy and Business Incubator of Portalegre, an incubator for technology-based companies, and C.BIP – Cultural and Creative Business Incubator.

This collaboration aims to support social initiatives that promote a fair energy transition, thus strengthening the social ecosystem and driving innovative ideas.

The EDP Energia Solidária Program aims to support projects that have a positive impact on vulnerable communities, students, social economy workers and isolated communities. This program is part of EDP’s social impact strategy – YES – You Empower Society, which focuses on the fair energy transition.

For-profit and non-profit entities are encouraged to apply, especially those working in the areas of social support, energy inclusion, protection of natural heritage and biodiversity, energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable mobility.

Applications are open from the 1st to the 31st of May and can be submitted via the Fundação EDP website at www.fundacaoedp.pt.

The partnership with BioBIP and C.BIP offers support to interested entities, from the conception of ideas to the preparation of applications. Subsequently, the selected entities will be able to count on the support of volunteers from the EDP group in implementing the projects.
