* The president of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, participates, at 9:30 am, in the anniversary ceremony of the Escola Básica e Secundária de Santa Cruz, taking place on the premises of that educational establishment. Then, at Caminho do Monte, nº 9, he will be, at 12 pm, at the presentation of a social project for the Colégio Missionário do Funchal.
* The regional secretary of Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, participates in the signing ceremony of the program contract between the Regional Government, through the Regional Civil Protection Service, and the Humanitarian Firefighters Association of Porto Santo. The program contract will be signed at 10 am, at the Porto Santo Fire Station.
* Between today and tomorrow, Tuna D’Elas promotes the XI edition of EcanTunas, the Madeira Female Tuna Festival. For this first day, a Tunas parade is planned at 4pm, on Avenida Arriaga, in Funchal, followed in the evening by the Tunas Meeting, at Largo do Município, in Machico, at 8:30pm.
* The 3rd edition of Ribeira Brava Culture Week starts today and runs until May 6th. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 pm, at Frente Mar in Vila da Ribeira Brava.
* The Casa do Povo of São Roque do Faial organized the concert ‘Pereiros em Flor’. The initiative will begin at 8:30 pm, at the Casa do Povo headquarters. ‘Tunacedros’ from Casa do Povo de São Roque do Faial and the Mandolin Orchestra from Casa do Povo da Camacha will participate in it.
