The Minho Business Association (AEMinho) is going to vote on April 30th (Tuesday) and Ramiro Brito, current vice-president and CEO of Grupo Érre, from Braga, is a candidate for the presidency of the board.

The general meeting to elect the governing bodies for the 2024-2027 three-year period is scheduled for 5:00 pm.

It will be the first elective assembly after the constituent assembly that established the foundation of the association, until now presided over by Braga businessman Ricardo Costa, who is now running for president of the General Council, and the establishment of its first social bodies.

In a statement sent to O MINHO, Ramiro Brito claims to be at the head of “a list of businesspeople who represent well what is the greatest wealth of our region, its people and the inexhaustible capacity they have to embody the engine of the country’s economic development”.

Its program “is based on our vision of companies, the economy, the region and the country. It is, as always, a starting point for something we want to build with you, with everyone. We do not focus our program on concrete activities, as we understand that the path is important here, which will be followed with the dynamics and creative typology of events, initiatives and measures that already characterize us”.

Ramiro Brito’s list once again includes José Teixeira, from DST, as a candidate for the presidency of the general assembly. Ana Pinheiro, from Mundotêxtil, is appointed vice-president and Sílvia Píres, from Transportes João Pires, as secretary.

For the direction, Ramiro Brito has Ricardo Salgado (1st vice-president) and for the remaining vice-presidents Gonçalo Pimenta de Castro, Isabel Carneiro, Nuno Mota, Patrícia Santos, Graciete Lima and João Pinho de Almeida.

For the supervisory board, the list is led by Helena Painhas and for vice-president, Virgínia Abreu and Mário Guimarães appear as rapporteurs.

Ricardo Costa is appointed president of the general council and João Brito Martins is appointed vice-president.
