The jazz group brings to Portugal a unique musical journey into the universe of cartoons.

The soundtracks of the most memorable childhood cartoons will be able to be heard live with the The Queen’s Cartoonistsa jazz group coming directly from Queens, New York, who lands on the stage of Tivoli BBVA Theaterin Lisbon, the May 4th and 5th.

The show by The Queen’s Cartoonists crosses two distinctly American art forms – jazz music and animated cinema – and invites the public to remember the golden age of these artistic movements, through a visual, musical and also cultural approach, due to the different roots of the artists.

With musical mastery, Joel Pierson, Greg Hammontree, Mark Phillips, Drew Pitcher, Rossen Nedelchev It is Malik McLaurine they recreate original soundtracks on stage note for note which, in synchronization with the projections of the animated films, promote a multigenerational show, unique and unprecedented in Portugal. The group brings to life the world of animation and characters as well-known and charismatic as Mickey Mouse, Popeye, Sindbad The Sailor, Bug Bunny or Betty Boop.
