UA fire broke out this Saturday night in the storage room of the EB 2,3 Diogo Cão School, in Vila Real.
According to the Douro Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, the fire is already “under control”.
According to that source, the storage room is located in an isolated area, meaning it was not necessary to evacuate nearby homes.
The alert for the fire was given at 10:39 pm, meaning there were no students or teaching staff at the scene.
There are 19 operatives on site supported by six vehicles from the Vila Real – Cruz Verde Volunteer Fire Department, the Public Security Police and the Municipal Civil Protection.
