One of the drug trafficking suspects, arrested on Saturday in Fafe, will await trial in pre-trial detention.
The other man, detained in the same operation, will have to report periodically to the GNR post in his area of residence, in which case it will be in Fafe.
The two suspects, aged 43 and 52, were presented today at the Guimarães District Court, after a year-long investigation, which culminated in the seizure of cocaine and heroin, as announced today by the GNR.
As O MINHO reported, the arrests took place as part of an “investigation into drug trafficking, which began in May 2023”.
“The Guard soldiers carried out police investigations that allowed the identity and location of the individuals to be ascertained and culminated in the arrest of the two suspects,” the statement said.
Following the action, three searches were carried out, two at home and one in a vehicle, in which 157.5 doses of cocaine, eight doses of heroin, 115 euros in cash, two cell phones, a firearm, nine ammunition and a vehicle were seized. .
