Hugo Dengue Baldaia was elected, on April 27th, as president of the Social Democratic Youth (JSD) of Marco de Canaveses, succeeding Ana Sofia Loureiro, who was elected president of the plenary table.

Speaking to the newspaper A TRUTH, the president-elect states that the great motivation for taking on the challenge of being a candidate was, “Above all, the encouragement I have received from my teammates throughout my journey at JSD Marco”he stated.

Hugo Dengue Baldaia guarantees that he never had political ambitions. “However, JSD is, for me, a great opportunity to do something useful, not only for Marcoense’s youth, but also for the rest of the community, always paying attention to the most vulnerable”pointed.

The now president also explains that the objective of the Political Commission is to “to unite young Marcoenses and, in this way, grow our structure. We will continue with the initiatives we started in the previous term, while I was vice-president of the structure. We will also seek to carry out initiatives with schools and associations in the municipality. Our objective is, therefore, to reinforce the involvement of young people in politics, so that they understand the importance of their contribution to society”.

Hugo Dengue Baldaia also reinforced that they will be initiated “lectures and debates open to the entire community, with topics such as speaking and communicating in public. We are convinced that it will be a very important mandate, especially with the local elections approaching”.
