The Barcelos Pottery Museum was distinguished by the Portuguese Association of Ceramic Cities and Towns for its performance in the preservation and dissemination sector in the ceramics sector in Portugal.
In a statement, the municipality of Barcelos said that, in the session held at Teatro da Vista Alegre, in Ílhavo, the Materials and Ceramics Department of the University of Aveiro, the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory and the Professional Training Center for the Ceramic Industry – CENCAL.
In the session attended by representatives of several Portuguese ceramic cities and towns, as well as representatives of honorary members of the Association and some members of the Advisory Council, the governing bodies were sworn in for another two-year term, with Barcelos joining again the direction.
AptCVC – Portuguese Association of Ceramic Cities and Towns has 29 associated Portuguese cities and towns. It belongs to the European Group of Ceramic Cities, made up of seven countries, and to the International Ceramics Academy, based in Genéve, which this year holds its World Congress, in Portugal, under the organization of AptCVC, in the cities of Alcobaça and Caldas da Rainha , in the 3rd semester of September.
