Pombal invests three million euros in the expansion of the Guia Industrial Zone

Pombal City Council recently approved the expansion of the Guia Industrial Zone, increasing the capacity to accommodate new investments and the installation of new companies, particularly technology-based.

In this way, the “allotment operation expands that industrial zone through an expansion area to the north, with an area of ​​more than 170,000 square meters, providing for the creation of 21 plots of land”, highlights the authority led by Pedro Pimpão. The project “also provides for a green area around the lots, creating a green space for protection and framing, as well as protection and combating forest fires”.

“The expansion of the Guia Industrial Zone will seek to respond to the high demand from the industrial and economic sector for that territory, to the west of the municipality, which has an occupancy rate of 100 percent, lacking lots for supply”, announces the Municipal Chamber .

For Mayor Pedro Pimpão this “is one of the Municipality’s biggest investments that reinforces its commitment to economic development, attracting new companies and creating qualified jobs for new generations”.
