The Caramulo area, in the municipality of Tondela, hosts the Rota das Cruzes pedestrian route this Sunday (5 May), which takes place a week before the Festa das Cruzes.

In this initiative, participants will be able to visit some of the places where what is the largest and oldest religious event in the municipality of Tondela takes place. This is the second walking route in the cycle of nine walks promoted by the City Council, in partnership with the municipality’s parish councils.

The Rota das Cruzes begins at 9:00 am, next to the Caramulo Tourism Office. The eight-kilometer trail has a level of difficulty considered medium, a difference in level of 820 meters and an expected duration of four hours.

The Guardão Parish Council will offer participants a food supplement. At the end of the walk there will be a paid lunch, registration for which is open until Friday (May 3).

The calendar of walking routes in Tondela continues on May 26th with the Rota dos Moinhos, in the Union of Parishes of Caparrosa and Silvares.

In June, the Rota de Santiago takes place on the 2nd, in Santiago de Besteiros and on the 16th the PR2 – Rota do Linho, in Castelões. On July 7th, the Rota dos Caleiros will take place, in the parish of Guardão.

The Sangemil Route, in Lajeosa do Dão and Ferreirós do Dão, will take place on September 22nd. On the 29th, the Rota dos Espigueiros takes place, in the Union of Parishes of Caparrosa and Silvares. The cycle will end on October 6th with the Grande Rota do Caramulo.
