Due to the weather conditions, the organization of Vila Praia em Flor – Caminha City Council, Vila Praia de Âncora Parish Council and Grupo de Amigos das Maias – decided to change the program for the 2024 edition. Vila Praia em Flor will concentrate, between the 10th and May 12, the majority of activities, since in the period initially announced, weather forecasts pointed to bad weather, including rain. Some initiatives will, however, continue from today.
We will therefore have to wait a few more days to fully enjoy Vila Praia em Flor, when the heart of Vila Praia de Âncora transforms into a large garden. Markets, exhibitions, music, dance, children’s entertainment and workshops, among other initiatives, fill the town’s streets and squares with color and joy.
However, starting this Thursday, if possible in meteorological terms, the streets will begin to be decorated, namely Avenida Ramos Pereira, Praça da República and nearby arteries.
It should be noted that, from today until May 12th, the Mayan exhibition “Against the Evil Eye” takes place in Praça da República. Meanwhile, this Saturday, May 4th, the 4th Bomb Meeting 2024 “Todos ao Bombo” will continue. On Sunday, the 1st Spring Route takes place. The Flower Market will be open on May 1st and May 5th (Mother’s Day) and between May 10th and 12th. On the 9th and until the 12th of May, the exhibition “O Circo” will also take place. From the 10th onwards, the program is more intense, as you can see below.
