Pedro Nuno Santos says the Government is more concerned with “undoing” than governing – Politics

The general secretary of the PS, Pedro Nuno Santos, considered this Tuesday that the Government is more concerned with “opposing” the previous executive and “undoing” what was being done than with governing.

“The Government is more concerned with opposing the previous Government than with governing. It is more concerned with undoing what was being done than with building”, said Pedro Nuno Santos, in a post on the social network X.

According to the socialist leader, until now, the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, “has changed a logo, adopted the previous Government’s IRS reduction and continues to generate instability in public institutions”.

“When are they going to start governing?”, he asked, in his publication on the social network

The PS has criticized the dismissal of the administration of Santa Casa da Misericórdia and has already asked for the hearing of the dismissed provider, Ana Jorge, who had been appointed by the previous Government, and the Minister of Labor in parliament.

Today, Luís Montenegro justified the decision to dismiss the team by claiming that the institution “is in an extremely difficult situation from a financial point of view and from the point of view of guaranteeing and safeguarding its social functions”, rejecting the idea of ​​having promoted a “sanitation political”.
