With a diverse repertoire, essentially divided into two parts, at first more classical works were performed, where the highlight was the work “Contradança”, by Telmo Marques, with soloist Nuno Pinto, on clarinet.

The second part, made up of songs from April, featured the voices of Madalena Tomé – soprano, a member of the Sabrosa Music Band, and Margarida Ribeiro – mezzosoprano, born in the municipality and also a member of the Sabrosa Music Band, who sang songs known to everyone, such as “Grândola Vila Morena” and “Amor a Portugal”, among others.

The president of the Municipal Council of Sabrosa, Helena Lapa, highlighted the quality of the moment, thanking the presence of the many people who attended the concert, thus ending “with a flourish these celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, with the BSP, which gave us a wonderful performance, wanting to highlight the participation of Margarida Ribeiro, born in Provesende, Maestro Francisco Ferreira, with roots in São Martinho de Anta, Madalena Tomé who is part of the Sabrosa Music Band, and the BSP musician Nuno Silva, he is the Maestro of the Sabrosa Music Band”.

During the event, the exhibition of military equipment from RI 13 was also available for visitation at the Mercado dos Produtos Durienses, as happened throughout the week, with two exhibition locations, in Jardim da Fontainha and in Paços do Concelho, where it received hundreds of visits, from students from the Miguel Torga School Group, users of the Sabrosa APPACDM, and the general public.

The BSP concert ended a week dedicated to the municipal celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, for which the municipality prepared a program designed for all audiences, with various activities and moments that will perpetuate this historical event in everyone’s memory.
