The Regional Command of the Public Security Police of Madeira informs that it has identified a 33-year-old woman residing in the Municipality of Ponta do Sol, suspected of committing the crime of theft inside a vehicle.
Given the news of the crime, perpetrated last Saturday afternoon in the Parish of Ribeira Brava, the police from the Criminal Investigation Squadron of the Câmara de Lobos Police Division began rapid investigations and gathered strong evidence about the presumed perpetrator of the crime, which was possible in the this day, proceed with its approach and recover all of the stolen goods, namely:
– 1 PRADA brand wallet, valued at around 300 euros;
– 1 Samsung brand cell phone, model NOTE 10, estimated at 1350 euros;
– Personal documents and various bank cards.
After contacting the legitimate owner, he positively recognized the objects and was handed over the respective items.
Given the absence of a flagrant crime, the suspect was constituted as a defendant and the coercive measure of Identity and Residence Term was applied, awaiting the further processing of the process in freedom.
The Regional Command of PSP Madeira takes the opportunity to recall the importance of immediately informing the police authorities whenever there is news of a crime, thus enabling the rapid development of measures that lead to successful investigations, identification of perpetrators and recovery of assets stolen.
