The PSD of Lisbon considers that the resignation of Pedro Costa (PS) as president of the Parish Council of Campo de Ourique is “the recognition of his inability to solve the problems” of the population.

“This resignation is, above all, the recognition of his inability to solve the problems of the Community of Campo de Ourique since, since he took office at the end of the last term, he was unable to lead the best solutions for that territory” says a note from PSD Lisbon, sent to the newsrooms.

The PSD considers it “curious” that the dismissal “occurs after the Parish Assembly where the worst accounts of the last ten years were presented, a sign of the disaster of its financial management, where the liabilities of the Parish Council more than doubled in just one year and which deserved repudiation in that same session by the PSD elected officials”.

“For Pedro Costa, his resignation is the fault of third parties, without understanding that the commitment of a Board President is, above all, to the Community he serves and the challenges that impact the lives of people who live in that same Community ”, says the same note.

The PSD also says that it “will not give up” on Campo de Ourique and that the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, “will continue to lead the city with the people and with all the council presidents, regardless of the parties they represent, as he has done so far.”
