José Mourinho once again stressed that he was close to becoming the national coach, saying, in fact, that it was something “very real”.
«I had the chance to return to Portugal, to the national team. It was a real, very real possibility. Now we are at the European Championship, with a coach who has done a great job and with a great generation of players. Regarding the players under Roberto Martínez, the Special One had nothing but praise and believes that the Spanish coach will continue in command if Portugal wins the Euro.
But, by the way, he did not leave aside the possibility of one day taking the reins of the national team and taking Roberto Martínez’s current place.
