Turismo do Algarve will be present, once again, at Expovacaciones, in Bilbao, one of the main tourism fairs in the Spanish market. Taking place from the 10th to the 12th of May in Pavilion 3 of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, the event is a privileged meeting point for travelers looking for information directly from tourist promoters.
This year, Expovacaciones introduced the innovative “Experimenta & Saboreia” concept, offering participants the opportunity to experience sensorial experiences and explore the local gastronomy of the represented destinations. Turismo do Algarve, in partnership with the municipalities of Albufeira, Faro, Lagoa, Lagos, Loulé, Olhão, Portimão and Vila Real de Santo António, will be present with a stand to highlight the Mediterranean Diet and promote direct flights between Bilbao and Faro .
The president of Turismo do Algarve, André Gomes, highlights the importance of participating in Expovacaciones: “After Madrid and Barcelona, our presence at this fair in Bilbao is an extraordinary opportunity to continue showing the Spanish public everything that the Algarve has to offer. to offer. We are excited to share our beaches, nature, culture and gastronomy with Expovacaciones visitors and boost demand for this important local market in the region.”
With extended opening hours, from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday, the fair attracted more than 20 thousand visitors in its last edition. In addition to daily gastronomic demonstrations, the Algarve stand offers tourist information about the destination and the municipalities present throughout the event.
