The World Olive Oil Congress (OOWC) lands in Beja (Portugal) in day may 4that the ACOS Auditoriumduring the celebration of 40th Ovibeja, Portugal’s main agricultural fair, to present this collaborative project to the country’s olive sector and involve it in the organization of the congress. The action falls within the period “On the way to OOWC 2024”to continue the internationalization of the congress.

The presentation of this first edition, during the colloquium entitled “Quality certification in the valorization of olive oil”, will be responsible for Ricardo Migueláñez, general coordinator of the congress. The event will take place from June 26th to 28th in Madrid, with the participation of operators from more than 50 countries, and will address the main news and challenges that olive groves and olive oil will face in the coming years, such as: climate change, product quality and safety, water , sustainability and marketing, but will also analyze the opportunities offered by this food in relation to health, the main “driving force” of current consumption in many countries.

During the event there will also be a round table entitled “Olive Oil Market: Analysis and Trends”as well as Presentation of the Prize Winners of the XIII International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition – CA OVIBEJA.
