Municipality of Tondela with a negative net result of 2.3 ME in 2023

The Tondela Municipal Assembly approved the management report and accounts for 2023, which presents a negative net result of 2.3 million euros.

The president of the Tondela City Council, Carla Antunes Borges (PSD), explained that, according to the report approved on Tuesday, municipal accounts were again penalized for the transfer of skills in the area of ​​education and also for the increase in costs personnel and expenditure on external supplies and services for the operation of various buildings.

“The value of depreciation on buildings also increased compared to the previous year, also contributing unfavorably to the net result for the period in question”, he added.

The mayor mentioned that the level of revenue execution was 77.84% and that of expenditure was 60.60%, stressing that the municipality closed the year 2023 within the debt limits.

With regard to the Major Options of the Plan, Carla Antunes Borges pointed out a level of execution of 51.13%, which includes the expansion of the municipal cemetery and works at the Caramulo Health Center, at the Cândido de Figueiredo Family Health Unit (Canas de Figueiredo) Santa Maria), at the trucking center, at the Official Animal Collection Center, at the Barrô Kindergarten and at the Basic School of Lajeosa do Dão.

At the beginning of the meeting, municipal deputies elected Felisberto Figueiredo as the new president of the Assembly Board, following the suspension of his mandate for 120 days requested by António Leitão Amaro, who now holds the position of minister of the Presidency.

Felisberto Figueiredo, who was second on the PSD list to the Assembly, was elected with 34 votes in favor and 11 white votes.
