In this new album, “more than ever, the musicality of the word and the message” are central aspects.

“Romantic love disappears to give way to universal love, which can take many forms. It could be a love for friends, literature, freedom itself or nature, which we are not taking good care of, as climate change proves”, explains the singer.

For all these reasons, admits Aldina Duarte, this work represents a “completely new challenge” as a performer, which also forced her to rediscover herself and even “find a different vocal register” to give expression to the texts.

“Capicua brings a new poetic approach to traditional fado melodies, with a strong and unusual language”, guarantees Aldina Duarte.

However, despite “still being very intoxicated” by this most recent project, the show at Theatro Circo will also have themes from previous works. “I always do different concerts, I like to change something in the plot.

Basically, it’s almost as if it were the same book, but with different chapters so that there are never repetitions”, assures Aldina.

On stage, the fado singer will be accompanied by Bernardo Romão on Portuguese guitar, Rogério Ferreira on viola and Ana Isabel Dias on harp.
