Castro Daire: Municipality accounts approved and paid on time | Daily Station

A Castro Daire City Council approved the 2023 accounts, with a positive management balance, worth almost 900 thousand euros, with the executive led by Paul Almeida It should be noted that he ended the year with all invoices paid.

The Castro mayor considered that 2023 “represents a milestone for the Municipality”, as it was the year with the biggest execution ever, “both in terms of revenue collected and the value of municipal investment made in Castro Daire, values ​​that were exceeded in large scale, reaching around 27.4 million euros”, he highlighted.

“In addition to the largest municipal investment ever recorded, 2023 was also marked by the fact that the year ended with everything paid to suppliers (invoices received and validated)”, reinforced the mayor.

The level of investment achieved by the Castro Daire Chamber was “the highest ever and was only possible due to the ability to obtain external financing that leveraged the municipal budget”, also highlighting the “several applications for community funds that were approved in several areas relating to projects of high importance for the municipality” of Castro Daire, a work that he classified as “sustainable” and “meeting priorities” but always with the safeguard of “good management practices, in order to ensure an economic position and balanced financial situation”, he stressed.

All this “with the certainty of building a better future for future generations, on a path of development and improving the quality of life” in the municipality.

Finally, Paulo Almeida also considered the year 2023 as “very demanding, with many challenges and difficulties overcome, but, thanks to a great municipal team, it was possible to achieve this performance”.
