TI Portugal launched, in March this year, the Business Integrity Forum Portugal (BIF Portugal), an initiative that aims to bring together companies committed to promoting and developing a corporate culture of integrity, positioning themselves as national and international references in terms of transparency, compliance, sustainability, ethics and good governance.

The creation of BIF Portugal aims to involve the private sector in the discussion of preventing corruption, as this cannot be done without the private sector, which must be seen as a pillar of corruption prevention that needs to be developed and reinforced.

BIF Portugal has the following objectives:

  • Bring together companies fully committed to promoting and developing a culture of integrity, positioning themselves as national and international references in terms of transparency, compliance, sustainability, ethics and good governance, through the adoption of the respective best practices;
  • Allow BIF Portugal members to have an exclusive space for analysis, reflection and debate, where knowledge, perspectives and experiences on regulatory compliance, corruption prevention, corporate transparency, etc. are shared.
  • Provide TI Portugal with financial contributions that guarantee an increase in the availability of funds to support its activity, while increasing the diversification of sources, in order to reinforce the association’s financial independence.

Multinational companies or SMEs committed to promoting a culture of integrity, and available to leverage the values of transparency, anti-corruption, sustainability and good governance in their sector of activity, can qualify as BIF Portugal members.
