MadeiraShopping has something new for all emerging artists who want to showcase their talent.

Openstage has already arrived at MadeiraShopping, in Funchal, so that everyone who considers themselves an artist, likes to sing or play, has the opportunity to show their talent, on a technological stage, which can be used independently. The initiative will be present on the shopping center’s terrace, on Floor 1, until June 2nd.

It is a start-up Italian, designed for smart citieswhich has revolutionized urban entertainment, by providing emerging artists with an autonomous technological stage, where they can connect their equipment – ​​whether microphones or instruments – to perform.

“Plug here. The stage is all yours” is, therefore, the challenge that the shopping center poses to the community, taking another step towards Innovation and supporting Culture.

Those interested in using this totem You can register simply and free of charge through the Openstage App. After creating a profile and prior approval by the team Openstage, the artist has access to the available agenda to schedule their performance. On the chosen day and time, simply unlock the totem technological, which integrates an audio system, mixer and smart sensors, make plug equipment and the show begins.

The stage arrived in Funchal on the 13th of April and, since then, it has hosted several artists, including Beatriz Abrunhosa, who started singing on the streets of the island and made known her single “Sensação”, and MELA, artistic name of Mariana Gonçalves, who is preparing to release her original album this year, after not only participating in the program The Voice, in 2016, but also in the Festival da Canção, in 2024, with the theme “Water”.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we see the launch of Openstage, once again putting our space at the service of Culture. In this way, we reinforce support for emerging artists, providing them with an innovative stage, with differentiating technology that gives them autonomy to schedule their performances and showcase their talent”, says Alberto José Pereira, director of MadeiraShopping.

The implementation in Portugal came about through Sonae Sierra and will take place in four shopping centers managed by it, in a format roadshow. The project debuted at NorteShopping, in Matosinhos, and now moves to MadeiraShopping. The next destination, in June, is the Vasco da Gama Center, in Lisbon, from where it leaves, in September, for AlgarveShopping, highlighting the talent of the southern region of the country until the end of October.
