The Sailing Academy organizes this weekend, May 4th and 5th, the “Regata Cidade de Aveiro”, another event integrated in the “Aveiro@Navegar” project which aims to promote sport and nautical culture in the Aveiro region , in yet another activity integrated into the activity plan of the Nautical Station of the Municipality of Aveiro.
The “Regata Cidade de Aveiro” constitutes the 1st event of the Taça Norte, a competition on the regional calendar that includes the presence of clubs with competitive activity, consisting of two more events.
The race features close to a hundred boats distributed among the Optimist, ILCA4, ILCA6 and Vaurien classes, with the presence of several clubs from the north and center of the country, in a race that promises to liven up the waters of the Ria de Aveiro with a strong competitive.
The activity at the Sporting Clube de Aveiro Nautical Campus begins on Saturday, at 11:00 am, ending on Sunday, at 6:00 pm, with the presentation of the regatta prizes.
The event has the support of the Municipality of Aveiro, Region of Aveiro, Administration of the Port of Aveiro (APA), Vista Alegre and Isonáutica.
