The last round of the maintenance phase of League 3 confirmed the relegation of Canelas 2010, Vianense and Amora to the Portuguese Championship, joining long-time relegated Pêro Pinheiro.

In an authentic final for both teams, Anadia won at Vianense’s home (0-1), thanks to a goal from Breno to open the second half, and celebrated their stay. Canelas’ 2010 defeat against Fafe (0-2) also contributed to this scenario being confirmed, a result that relegates the Vila Nova de Gaia club to the fourth tier of Portuguese football.

Note also Sanjoanense’s victory in the Trofa (1-2), in a game marked by a goal scored, with a shot from midfield, by Marcelo Santos.

In the Southern Series, Amora were defeated in Alcochete, where they lost 5-0 to Sporting B, and were overtaken in the penultimate position by Oliveira do Hospital, who beat the already relegated Pêro Pinheiro 2-0. In the rest of today’s game, Caldas won at 1st December (0-1).

As for the promotion phase, the highlight was Lourosa’s victory against Braga B, by 3-2, a result that keeps the fight for promotion to League 2 completely open for both teams. The Lusitanians reached half-time leading 2-0, saw the Arsenalistas cancel the difference in a couple of minutes, but still managed to rescue the important victory, with a goal from Marcos Valente, near the end.

Académica complicated their progress by drawing, at home, with Atlético (1-1). Varzim-Felgueiras is playing at this time. The 12th round of the promotion series ends tomorrow with the duel between Covilhã and Alverca.
