FC Porto secured third place in the Liga Portugal Betclic standings, by beating GD Chaves 3-0 this Saturday, at the Estádio Municipal Engº Manuel Branco Teixeira, in a match corresponding to the 32nd round of the competition.
The blue and whites opened the scoring in the 27th minute, through Francisco Conceição, with an excellent direct free kick, soon after also having numerical superiority, due to the expulsion of Junior Pius, due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
Just before the half-time whistle, Evanilson completed a good combination to put the Dragons 2-0 up, who would extend the lead again in the 72nd minute through Taremi, converting a penalty kick.
With this victory, FC Porto now has 66 points, four points ahead of SC Braga, the most direct pursuer, who has even played one less game. GD Chaves, in turn, remains with 23 points in the penultimate place in the classification.
