Even with rain, Minho university students welcomed the most anticipated week of the year.

It was on the night of Saturday, May 4th, that Fórum Braga opened its doors for another edition of the Monumental Festas do Enterro da Gata. With no capacity sold out and with rain, university students continued to celebrate another academic year.

The atmosphere at Gatódromo warmed up with DJ Kardo, opening the indoor stage. This was followed by the debut performance at Minho de Jüra, on the outdoor stage, which enchanted with some of their most recent songs. The interior of the venue was handled by Filipe Miranda’s remixes.

After Jüra’s performance ended, the Minho students rushed to secure a place in the front row for the “star of the night”. Slow J, took to the outside stage at around 1:10 am. The symbol of rap music The Portuguese singer did not leave the audience indifferent when he sang “Tata”, “Ultimamente”, “Serenatas”, “Medida Boa”, “Dream”, “Teu eternally” and “Sometimes”.

Despite the rain, there was no shortage of good kizomba with the arrival of Badoxa at the venue. The singer had the audience dancing to some of his hits, such as “Tarraxinha” and “Controla”.

The closing performance on Saturday night was performed by Meninos do Rio and resident DJ Raul Mimoso. The academic week also has six more days of entertainment: tonight, the Gatódromo welcomes the Cultural Groups and Quim das Remisturas.
