INEM’s debt to Volunteer Firefighters of Salvaterra de Magos continues to increase

INEM appealed to the second instance the sentence announced by the Benavente court in December 2023, which provided for the payment of compensation for services outside the protocol, explained to NS Luís Martins, president of the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Salvaterrade Magos (AHBVSM) .

“The debt that INEM owes us is increasing”, says the president, since the Benavente court ordered INEM to pay the debt, as well as its interest.

The president of AHBVSM also states that INEM gave “meaningless justifications” for appealing the court’s ruling and that now all that remains is to wait for the legal procedures of the process to unfold.
