Exhibition commemorating 50 years of UMinho arrives in Ponte de Lima

The exhibition commemorating 50 years of UMinho in Ponte de Lima will open next Friday, at 12:00, at Praça da Alegria, where it will be on view until the end of the month.

Present at the inauguration of the exhibition will be, from UMinho, the rector Rui Vieira de Castro and João Cardoso Rosas, president of the Fiftieth Anniversary Committee, as well as other members of the academy, while the Municipality of Ponte de Lima will be represented by Vasco Ferraz, president of the municipality, and by Paulo Barreiro de Sousa, vice-president and councilor at the Ponte de Lima City Council.

The traveling exhibition University of Minho: 50 years of reinventing education and knowledge is an installation that symbolizes the university’s deepening ties to the territory, its educational, research and knowledge transfer mission, represented in its 12 teaching and research units – the Schools of Architecture, Art and Design; Sciences; Right; Economics and Management; Engineering; Letters, Arts and Human Sciences; Medicine; Psychology; Nursing and Social Sciences Institutes; of Education and I3B’s.

In partnership with Rede Casa doconhecimento, and after having been open to the public in Braga, Famalicão and Ponte de Lima, the exhibition will continue in the coming months to the municipalities of Paredes de Coura, Viana do Castelo, Póvoa de Varzim, Esposende/ Barcelos, Vila Verde, Ponte da Barca, Trofa, Fafe, closing the cycle in the city of Guimarães.
