D. Maria II National Theater holds theatrical initiation workshop

The Municipal Auditorium of Reguengos de Monsaraz will host on the 11th and 18th of May the theatrical initiation workshop entitled “Dive in these words”, whose project by the D. Maria II National Theater is the result of a partnership with the National Arts Plan and the Municipality of Reguengos de Monsaraz, which takes place from 10:30 am to 1 pm and between 2:30 pm and 5 pm and is aimed at young people aged 11 to 18 years old.

The theater workshop will be led by actress Catarina Caetano for groups of 6 to 20 participants, with “Dive in these words” inviting the stimulation of imagination, creativity, the capacity for expression and communication, critical spirit and observation.

Participants in this initiative will take a book of their choice, which will serve as a stimulus for expression, improvisation and creation exercises, playing with words, the body and space.

With this project, Teatro Nacional D. Maria II aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance of expression through voice, body, face, word and gesture, through experimentation, discovery and sharing. Young people can sign up for the theater initiation workshop by clicking here.
