‘Recheio’ organizes talk in the Algarve about sustainable production

In a context of growing concern with sustainability issues, which affect various sectors such as agriculture, industry, and tourism and hospitality, Recheio will promote in the Algarve, together with the Portuguese Hotel Association (AHP) and with the support from Boa Cama Boa Mesa, a talk with the theme “Sustainable Production”, where he will present some of his projects and Best Farmer and Seaculture, units of the Jerónimo Martins Group that produce meat and fish in offshore aquaculture in a sustainable way. The initiative will take place in Recheio store in Faroat the May 14thfrom 11:30 am.

“The times we live in require all stakeholders to reflect on sustainability. Recheio has five stores in the Algarve, covering the entire region from Barlavento to Sotavento and, as we have a very close relationship with our customers, we know well the impact issues related to sustainability have on your business. That’s why we decided to hold this talk in the Algarve, to share some of our projects and to ensure that, by working together, some of these impacts on our clients’ businesses are mitigated”explains Vanessa Silva, Director of Marketing at Recheio.

The talk will address Sustainable Production, with André Duarte, Commercial Director of Fresh Food at Jerónimo Martins, Best Farmer, with Luísa Silva, Sales Manager, and Seaculture, with Pedro Encarnação, Executive Director of Aquaculture. The talk will also feature the participation of Algarve chefs, Leonel Pereira and João Marreiros, recently distinguished with the sustainability award from the Boa Cama Boa Mesa guide. After the conversation, there will be a showcooking with Recheio products from the Best Farmer and Seaculture brands, which will be prepared by Recheio Chefs, and a tasting of regional wines.

It should be noted that sustainability is one of the pillars of Recheio, which has worked in recent years to establish supply chains that promote more sustainable production and consumption practices. Furthermore, Recheio has been investing in the renovation of its stores, with the aim of optimizing water and energy consumption and waste management.
