Municipality of Faro promotes anti-rabies campaign in 18 points in the municipality

The initiative will take place at strategic points in the various parishes of the municipality, between the 15th of May and the 25th of September

The Municipality of Faro, in partnership with the General Directorate of Food and Veterinary, will once again promote, starting this month, an annual anti-rabies vaccination campaign.

The initiative foresees the travel of the municipal veterinarian to 18 strategic points in the various parishes of the municipality of Faro, between May 15th and September 25th, with the first place to be visited, Ilha da Culatra, with a meeting point at the pier, on May 15th, from 10 am.

In addition to these locations, anti-rabies vaccination and transponder booking/registration in the SIAC (Companion Animal Information System) can be carried out, upon payment, between the 20th of May and the 30th of September (except on the 2nd and 9th of September). September) at the Official Animal Collection Center of Faro (CROAF), located in the Medronhal area, in Guilhim (parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe), every Monday, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

The same service will also be available between October 9th and December 11th, every Wednesday, except November 6th, between 9:30 am and 10:30 am.

All procedures are subject to payment of the fee determined by the General Food and Veterinary Directorate. The Municipality of Faro reminds that anti-rabies vaccination is mandatory for all dogs three months of age or more.
