The Municipal Executive of Póvoa de Varzim ratified the award of the housing contract under a supported rental regime, on Rua Belarmino Pereira, within the scope of the Municipality’s Local Housing Strategy. This is an investment of more than 2 million and 600 thousand euros, for a project with an expected period of 18 months, which will begin as soon as there is approval from the Court of Auditors, allowing the construction of 24 homes in Lot C, revealed the vice-president. President Luís Diamantino.
In total, there will be three lots to be created in that area next to the Cego do Maio school, with a total of 90 homes. The 24 planned for Lot C will be the first to advance. A few days after opening applications for the rent support program, the Chamber highlights that this is another step towards strengthening the Local Housing Strategy, in order to ensure that everyone has access to decent housing in the municipality.
