Caminha: Class parent representative uses Facebook to clarify responses to AM intervention | Newspaper C

The person in charge of education Ana Patrícia Verde Moreira, who spoke during the period intended for the public in the last municipal assembly (AM) of Caminha, used the social network Facebook on the 29th of April, as she was prevented by the AM regulations from responding to the clarifications provided by that body, to clarify the socialist deputy, Paula Aldeia, who refuted in that session the municipality’s responsibility for the lack of safety in children’s school transport.

According to the representative of class parents, “school transport for children in the 1st cycle (aged between 6 and 7 years old) is sometimes not being ensured in order to comply with law 13/2006 of 17 April, chapter 3, transport safety”, which requires the use of car seats or booster seats, which was not complied with on April 16th and witnessed by several parents.

In the aforementioned publication, the person in charge of education questioned whether the mothers, fathers, children, assistants and teachers who witnessed this situation also lied to other parents about what happened that day.

Ana Patrícia Verde took the opportunity to leave a link to DECO PROTeste, which explains the specific rules that must be followed when transporting children to school, which in this case, according to the education manager, were not.

It should be remembered that the class parents’ representative took this matter up to the last AM, after having already reported it by email to the director of the Caminha School Group, Maria Esteves and the councilor responsible for education, Liliana Ribeiro. Ana Patrícia Verde alerted the Parents Association that organized the event so that this serious flaw could be corrected in the future.

Paula Aldeia (PS)

In response, referring to a publication by Liliana Silva (below) on the subject, Paula Aldeia stated that he had contacted the councilor responsible for the department, Liliana Ribeirowho assured him that the seats were on the bus, without mentioning whether or not they were properly placed and whether the children were properly transported in them.

Since the public can only intervene in the assembly for the first time, Ana Patrícia Verde used the social network Facebook to respond to the socialist deputy, stating that it is not enough to have seats on the bus, they must be properly installed, a responsibility of the driver, a municipal employee.
