Inclusive project culminates with community dance

When Aveiro began preparing its candidacy for European Capital of Culture, around two years ago, all kinds of projects emerged. Many of them “fell”, but there were others that not even “defeat” made them unviable. The “Community dance with sea breeze” is one of them and culminates tomorrow, with a great cultural and community event in the form of a world dance ball open to everyone. The promoter is Aveiro 2024 – Portuguese Capital of Culture/Câmara Municipal de Aveiro and the creation is by the 4iS collective, in co-creation with CERCIAV. A dance, music and manual arts project that appears as a tribute to traditional village festivals and which began several weeks ago with the holding of painting and drawing workshops and social dance workshops, involving users and technicians from the institutions that joined the project: CERCIAV, Aveiro Health Center – Health in the Community, Associação Pais e Amigos Habilitar, Casa Vera Cruz, APPACDM, Hospital de Aveiro – Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health/Community Intervention Unit, Pais em Rede and the general population.
