Miguel Albuquerque wants a “clear majority” and guarantees that he is not a “trash politician”.

There were 14 political forces that launched the call to vote for the regional elections in Madeira on Sunday, with the national leaders of Chega and Bloco de Esquerda being alongside the candidates on the first day of the campaign.

In Funchal, André Ventura assured that he does not want agreements with Miguel Albuquerque, a re-candidate for the presidency of the Regional Government, pointing out that “it would be absolutely incoherent” for Chega to support the social democrat, saying that the ruler, investigated by the Courts, “should never be a candidate in these elections.”

As for the coordinator of the Bloco de Esquerda, Mariana Mortágua, she accused the PSD/Madeira of creating “a business model that feeds the elites”, in addition to having “a gift” for “telling people that they are solving problems, when in They’re actually doing worse.”

Miguel Albuquerque will campaign for investment announcements, stating that he is not “a politician with empty talk”. He said that it is necessary to have “a clear majority” to avoid what is happening in the country, where “it seems that the Assembly and the parties are in charge of the Republic”.

As for PS/Madeira, candidate Paulo Cafôfo admitted that these will be the “most challenging” elections, as it is necessary to “end the political crisis and provide stability”. He guaranteed that it was possible to beat the PSD, recalling the victory achieved in the Funchal municipality in 2013, “against all expectations”.
The caravans will be on the streets for almost two weeks, until the elections on May 26th.
