Municipality has a Support Program for the Sterilization of Companion Animals

As part of the animal welfare policy and control of the stray animal population, the Municipality of Entroncamento will make available during the year 2024, a total of 15,000 euros, intended for financial reimbursement for the sterilization of dogs and cats.

The program applies to dogs and cats whose owners reside in the municipality of Entroncamento, up to a maximum of four animals (three in the case of dogs) per household.

Sterilization will have to be carried out at a participating Medical-Veterinary Care Center in the municipality of Entroncamento.

The amounts of support for the sterilization of companion animals are:

–sterilization of female dogs – up to 10 kg » 80 euros; more than 10 KG » 120 euros;

–sterilization of dogs – up to 10 kg » 80 euros; more than 10 kg » 110 euros

–sterilization of cats – 80 euros

–cat sterilization – 25 euros

The support amounts are doubled for citizens who hold the “Entroncamento Solidário Card” and the “Municipal Elderly Card – B”.
