According to deadlineThe Amazon MGM Studios finally announced when the live-action of ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe‘ It will be released.

The film is scheduled to premiere on June 5, 2026.

Travis Knight (‘Bumblebee’) will be responsible for directing.

Chris Butler signs the script – based on an initial draft written by David Callaham (‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’) and Adam It is Aaron Nee (‘The Lost City’).

The plot will focus on 10-year-old Prince Adam, who crash-landed on planet Earth and became separated from his magical sword – his only connection to Eternia. After nearly two decades, Adam is determined to return to his home planet and fight the evil things of Skeletor.

But to defeat this powerful villain, Prince Adam will have to discover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the universe.

Masters of the Universe‘ was already adapted for cinema in 1987, with Dolph Lundgren in the main role, and Frank Langella stealing the show as the villainous Skeletor. The film, however, was another of the failures of the studio Cannon, which went bankrupt after consecutive bombs.
