‘The Stuntman’, with Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling, grosses US$65.4 million in its GLOBAL debut

The action comedy’The Stuntman‘, starring Ryan Gosling (‘Barbie’) and Emily Blunt (‘Oppenheimer’), debuted at the top of the North American box office, with US$28.5 million collected in its first weekend.

Unfortunately, the value was below projections, which indicated a debut around US$35 million in the country.

For comparison, the film had a return within the average of other films of the genre, but failed to reach recent premieres such as ‘Lost City‘ ($30.4M) and ‘Bullet train‘ ($30M).

In the interview, Emily revealed what was the most difficult scene she’s ever done… and the answer is surprising.

“Arrival in Mary Poppins. I would consider that a feat. I was very scared. Rob Marshal said, ‘I’m just going to start with you in the clouds, and you’re going to have to come down… and you’re going to come into your close-up… Because I’m really scared of heights. I thought I wasn’t afraid. And then I was up there and I saw that I was scared. You get hoisted up… I was so high up, like 25 feet or so, and then they keep going and all of a sudden you’re like, ‘God, I’m having palpitations.’” she said.

The actress managed to complete the scene, but reveals that she felt ill:

“And I looked down and Lin-Manuel Miranda was like this. I tried looking outside and all I saw was that it was taller than the trees.
