According to deadline, Russell Crowein ‘The Pope’s Exorcist‘ and the future ‘The Exorcism‘, will be the protagonist of the action thriller ‘Bear Country‘.
The project will mark the meeting between the actor and the director Derrick Borteafter working together on the thriller ‘Uncontrollable Fury‘.

Crowe will play Manco Kapak, the owner of a club that is robbed by an armed masked man. Now, his desire to sell the establishment and travel far away with his girlfriend seems more distant than ever. Now the cartel bosses are on alert, but a mysterious man seems eager to buy the club…
In addition to driving, Borte also signs the script alongside Daniel Forte.
The film is based on the book Stripwritten by Thomas Perry.
In an official statement, the filmmaker declared: “After the great experience we shared on ‘Unstoppable Fury,’ I was looking forward to working with Russell again. I was looking for a project that channeled his performance as Jack Healy in ‘The Nice Guys’ – and I immediately knew ‘Bear Country’ was the right film.”
