Find out what name was given to the newcomer to Gru’s family in ‘Despicable Me 4’
Last Tuesday, 7th, fans of the ‘Despicable Me’ franchise were surprised with the reveal of the second official trailer for the fourth film, which features Gru as the main character. The preview shows the Minions gaining superpowers, as well as presenting new images of the newest addition to Gru’s family. Remember:
It is worth remembering that Gru was presented as a villain who left his old life to take care of his three adopted daughters, Margot, Edith and Agnes, in the first film. In the 2013 plot, he fell in love and married secret agent Lucy Wilde, while in “Despicable Me 3” (2017) Gru’s twin brother was included in the family.
Thus, the fourth film in the franchise will present the fruit of Gru and Lucy’s relationship, who, being very similar to his father (with the exception of some red strands of hair that our Despicable Favorite doesn’t have on his head), could not have another name if not Gru Jr.!
The little baby was introduced in the first trailer for the feature film and is expected to play an important role in the newest sequel, as the production synopsis states:
Gru, Lucy and their daughters — Margô, Edith and Agnes — welcome a new member of the Gru family, Gru Jr., whose purpose is, basically, to torment his father. Additionally, Gru faces new enemies. Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina are so evil that they leave the Gru family no choice but to flee.”
In the original dubbing cast, Steve Carell gives voice to Gru, Kristen Wiig voices Lucy, while Miranda Cosgrove It’s Margo, Dana Gaier It’s Edith and Madison Polan It’s Agnes. The new characters, Maxime Le Mal and Valentina, are voiced by Will Ferrell It is Sophia Vergararespectively.
“Despicable Me 4” is directed by Patrick Delage It is Chris Renaudwho directed the first two films in the series, and written by Mike White (‘School of Rock’, ‘The White Lotus’).
