Forgotten Love tells a story of universal scope that revolves around Rafal Wilczur, a renowned surgeon and professor. After being abandoned by his wife and victim of a robbery, he suffers the loss of his memory. He moves to a small village where he performs a successful operation on a local boy, becoming the local healer. Years later, he meets her daughter, Maria Jolanta, and sees in her an opportunity for redemption.

The film is almost two and a half hours long, directed by Michal Gazda and written by Marcin Baczynski, Mariusz Kuczewski and Tadeusz Dolega-Mostowicz. It is a remake of a 1982 classic, which in turn is based on a 1937 novel by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz.

“I Can Only Imagine” is a moving film based on the true story behind MercyMe’s song of the same name, one of the most played Christian songs of all time. The film chronicles the life of Bart Millard, the band’s lead singer, focusing on his tumultuous relationship with his father. During his childhood, Bart suffered under the weight of physical and emotional abuse from a bitter father, but an incredible transformation occurs when his father finds faith and redeems himself, changing their lives forever.

The experience inspires Bart to write the lyrics to the song “I Can Only Imagine” as a reflection on what one might feel when entering heaven and standing before God. Through moments of pain and inspiration, the film is a story of forgiveness, redemption and the hope that music can bring.
