The reboot of Fantastic Four, which will introduce heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has just found its big villain. According to The Hollywood Reporter, British actor Ralph Ineson will be responsible for bringing Galactus to lifea cosmic entity known for its insatiable appetite for planets.

Active since 1993, Ineson is known for having participated in films such as The witchfrom 2015 and for playing characters like Dagmer Cleftjaw (game of Thrones) and Amycus Carrow (Harry Potter). He also has a solid career in the gaming world, having voiced Cid in Final Fantasy XVI and Lorath Narh in Diablo IV.

Fantastic Four movie starts filming soon

Ineson is just the latest to be added to a squad full of high-profile names. Previously, Marvel had already announced Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bacharach as the Thing.

The Fantastic Four cast will also feature Julian Garner as the female version of the Silver Surfer and Paul Walter Hauser (Cobra Kai) in an unreported paper. Rumors suggest that the actor could end up playing the villain Mole Man or HERBIEa robot that helps the group of heroes.

Another important name that recently joined the film was John Malkovich, whose role has also not been clarified so far. Given that the plot will involve the villain Galactus and his arrival on Earth, the chances are high that the script will also feature the Watcher’s debut within the MCU.

The clashes between the family of heroes and the cosmic entity began in 1966, when issue 48 of Fantastic Four was released. With giant size and characteristic purple armor, the villain travels the universe choosing planets to feed on — and the Earth becomes its target thanks to the great variety of life it presents.

By betting on actors recognized for their talents, Marvel wants to avoid repeating the critical and public disaster recorded by Fox’s two attempts to adapt the group of heroes. Filming for the new feature film will begin in the summer of the northern hemisphere, and its release is scheduled for July 25, 2025.
