On tour in South America, São Paulo was the city that least returned the accessory; band still passes through Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro
Chris Martinvocalist of the band Coldplaymade a request for Brazilian fans to return the LED bracelets received during the show. The musician stated that they are “very expensive”. According to a ranking released by the group itself, the public at the São Paulo was the one that returned the accessories the least during the band’s visit to South America (85%). “These wristbands have changed our lives because they allow us to connect with the audience so that everyone is part of the show. The original bracelets were designed 13 years ago by a man who used to make batteries for sex toys. He was really good with small drums, and he did these things that he somehow became a fifth member of Coldplay.” “That’s where we spent most of our money. [arrecadado nos shows], but it was worth it because with them the concert is something different: you’re not looking at the band, you’re looking at the crowd. And people should return them because they are so expensive.” The accessories are delivered at the entrances to the presentations and are returned at the end. The organization sanitizes the wristbands and reuses them at other concerts by the band. Until now, Buenos Aires was the city that most returned wristbands (96%). The band also performs in Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro.
