Last week, an Irish woman accused Till Lindemann, lead singer of Rammstein, and his team of trying to drug her to commit abuse. With the repercussion of the case, the band itself issued a note, denying such attitudes. Even so, a new report, this time from a Brazilian woman, shows similarities with Shelby Lynn’s initial complaint.

Monique Tavares, owner of the Rock Channel Brasil channel, reported on video that she experienced a similar situation involving Lindemann in 2019, after a show in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. According to her, Rammstein producers “handpick” women to go to the after-parties after the performances — a situation that she said she witnessed even in Brazil, during the Maximus Festival, in the city of São Paulo, in 2017.

Having received a wristband for the aforementioned party in Rotterdam, Monique decided to attend with the hope of getting to know the group. Upon arriving at the place, she was faced with many options for drinks and food and only noticed the presence of women, described as, for the most part, “young and beautiful”.

Due to fatigue, he called the band’s producer and commented that he would like to leave, since he still needed to catch a train to Amsterdam. The professional would have denied Monique’s request and then said that he would take her to the backstage of the event. While heading to that area, she experienced an “alert” situation, in her words.

“On the way I met a person who works with Rammstein [na engenharia de luz], whom I had met here in São Paulo, and he grabbed me and said: ‘what are you doing here?’. That was a little impressive for his reaction, because he turned to me and said: ‘anything you send me a message, I’m here, I’ll get you’.”

In the end, Monique stopped at Till Lindemann’s dressing room, where there were already three women in their “40s, 50s”. The Brazilian says that when he saw her, the singer, who was putting on makeup, asked what she would like to drink and started a conversation. Everything went well until the arrival of a producer with two drinks already prepared.

“A producer came, he saw that I was sitting there with him on the same sofa, drinking champagne, and he brought two ready-made drinks, separate, one for him and one for me. And I was embarrassed to say ‘no’.”

As soon as she finished drinking, Monique felt sick and had to be taken to the bathroom. While she “let it out”, the producer waited for her at the door. In addition to vomiting, the Brazilian felt unusual drowsiness – which continued for a certain period of time.

“I started to get drowsy to the point where I would go and take a nap on the couch. Shortly after that, he turned a wrench on Till, who started yelling, ‘Where are the women? Bring me more women’ and they started bringing more women, they kind of crowded him and I walked away.”

Given this context, Tavares felt uncomfortable and asked to leave. Once again, he was initially denied the request.

“I didn’t feel good in the position he was putting women in, so I started being harsh after that. […] I was upset and kept asking to leave and they wouldn’t let me, they said: ‘you can’t go now, wait a little longer’. then he [Till] selected some girls there, in the case of the one I watched, he didn’t want to take the women from 40 to 50 years old, he took the girls who were on top of him at that moment, who were paying more attention to him. After that, I was released to leave. I don’t know what happened after they left.”

The Case of Shelby Lynn

Upon learning of Shelby Lynn’s case, Monique Tavares noticed several points in common with her experience – including Till Lindemann’s behavior towards women and the “weird drinks”.

Through social networks, the Irishwoman claims to have got a place on the guest list for the pre- and post-party of Rammstein in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, through a contact. According to the fan, drinks were even distributed by Lindemann himself, who also mingled with the women. She says she was invited for a personal meeting with the vocalist during a short break in the show, with the intention of having sex with him. With the alleged refusal by the girl, the artist would have behaved aggressively.

Videos show that upon returning to the show, Shelby Lynn is shown to have deteriorated health, becoming drowsy and only able to babble the songs. The next morning, she woke up with multiple bruises all over her body. For many hours after the presentation, the woman reported dealing with symptoms such as insomnia, tachycardia, diarrhea, nausea and chills, until she asked for medical and police help, filing a complaint.

It has not yet been clarified whether the young woman’s report (present in full in publications on twitter and in the highlights section of Instagram) proceeds, as well as the origin of the bruises. But other women have shared similar experiences at Rammstein shows, not just the current tour, in the comments section of this post and others on Shelby’s profiles. There are even reports on the social networks Reddit and Tumblr pointing to an alleged selection of fans to stay right in front of the stage during concerts and being doped at after parties.

Rammstein’s positioning

In a short note on social networks, Rammstein denied the accusations and declared that he was unaware of an official investigation into the matter:

“With regard to the allegations circulating on the internet about Vilnius, we can rule out the possibility that what is being claimed took place in our environment. We are not aware of any official investigation into this matter.”
