Wise, a Brazilian platform specialized in audio streaming originating from Fábrica Host, announced that it has started to integrate the Radio Data System (RDS) standard in digital data transmissions that are already widely used in FM reception. Known as the “RDS of streaming”, this feature refers to metadata that allows you to display the name of the song, the station’s slogan or even the name of the station through the streaming link itself.

The function offers a new service to the digital listener, similar to the advantages provided by RDS on the dial and also by the metadata of other online services, such as music streaming. The initiative also positively impacts other devices and environments that provide online radio. Listeners who use the tudoradio.com app, for example, they already perceive this technology on several radio stations.
