The set list covered practically the entire career of the Dutch group, although it emphasized the albums “The Quantum Enigma” (2014) and “Omega” (2021), from which they extracted hits such as “Abyss of Time – Countdown to Singularity” (which opened the show), “The Essence of Silence”, “The Skeleton Key” and “Victims of Contingency”.

The excellent symphonic metal performance had space for floating tracks on Epica’s set list, such as “The Final Lullaby” from the album “The Alchemy Project” (2022) and “Unleashed”, from “Design Your Universe” (2009).

A constant presence in the group’s repertoire, “Cry for the Moon”, from their debut album “The Phantom Agony” (2003), was also present in the final section of the show. First, however, a surprise: Cristina Scabbia, lead singer of the group Lacuna Coil, who had performed hours before, took to the stage to share vocals with Simone on the track “Storm the Sorrow”.

The closing was with an extended version of “Consign to Oblivion”, from the album “Consign to Oblivion” (2005). An epic end to an epic night.
